Barely out of high-school, Lindsey Jordan has already released her first album. Lush, under her stage name Snail Mail, is Jordan's debut.
The singer/songwriter/guitarist first unleashed her songs on the EP Sticki in 2015. After a short tour in 2016, another EP followed. Habit, on Sister Polygon Records, got the attention of Pitchfork, which added the opener "Thinning" to its Best New Track series, as well as Matador Records which signed her in the fall of 2017. Another tour followed during which, performing opener duties for Priests, Girlpool, Waxahatchee, and Beach Fossils.
Classically trained on the guitar as a young child, Jordan has been honing her craft most of her life. Some have noted her songwriting is reminiscent of Fiona Apple, and her vocal style has been compared to Avril Lavigne.
Lush was released by Matador in June 2018, featuring bassist Alex Bass and drummer Ray Brown. With positive critical reception, Rolling Stone hailed Lush as "The work of an Indie-Rock prodigy." Freed from the bondage of high school, she's back on the road in support of her debut, with dates through the winter in the US and Europe.
